Level of knowledge of university teachers about actions to be taken in situations of drug use

Drug consumption in university communities is a latent problem in higher education institutions, the objective of this work is to diagnose the knowledge of teachers at the Iberoamerican University of Ecuador on the actions they must take in situations of drug use. Methodology: The study used a quantitative empirical approach of non-experimental design. All the results were processed from the diagnostic survey applied to the university teachers previously validated by expert criteria. Results: When analyzing the studied sample, the entire agrees that they know the drugs, however they cannot identify when the students are intoxicated, cannot define effective prevention measures. Conclusion: The importance and need to train the institution's teachers is evident, the study shows the ignorance of the teachers about the procedures established in the university for drug use situations.
