The mental health of educators: response to labor stress in the public schools of Encarnación- Paraguay

The research is based on the integral well-being of education workers, an activity that aims to achieve the progress and human development of all who are directly and indirectly benefited from the teaching work. The work is considered as a process by which society improves the living conditions of its members, satisfying their basic and complementary needs. The objective of the investigation is to analyze the actions or measures that are carried out in response to work stress, the educators of the Public Basic Schools of the city of Encarnación. To this end, the research question is the following: What actions or measures are carried out in the face of work stress by the educators of the Public Schools of the city of Encarnación? The study has a quantitative, descriptive, correlational methodological basis with a transversal design. The main results indicate that 3 out of 4 teachers present medium or high level of work stress, due to the great commitment of being in charge of an amount of 30 or more children from different backgrounds, abilities; Palliative measures to overcome these symptoms are not carried out by institutional, departmental or national authorities; Based on the findings, it is possible to affirm the level of teacher work stress will increase, which significantly affects the academic performance of students passing through the classrooms. Taking into account, it is recommended that teachers have psychological support, recreation and containment spaces in order to cope with the levels of work stress that most present.
