The development of rural areas is debated between important challenges, under this logic the new dynamics of endogenous development in the rural context have recently been strengthened, due to community participation in search of productive diversification and sustainability from its various configurations. On the other hand, the identity and definition of the cultural and territorial features of a community are key pieces for the definition of the proposed objectives within the development of its social fabric from its perspective of integrality and look at this approach not only from the configuration economic but from the rest of the configurations addressed. This is why the need to understand the configurations of endogenous development in the rural context. These processes need to be strengthened from public policy and governance, promoting decentralization processes and eradicating inequality in decision-making for the proper use and application of development configurations such as social, political, economic and cultural spheres. For the development of this documentary-type research, a content analysis of the positions of several authors was carried out using hermeneutics as an experiential introspective method, through both written and digital documentation and the interpretation of the information by the author. In this research, the different configurations of endogenous development have been approached, demonstrating that to achieve its main objective it must be approached in an integral way because these processes that occur in the rural context must be addressed from the four configurations.
