School dropout: a matter of human perspective

Abstract

The general purpose of this research is to understand the human factors that encourage school dropout in the public universities of the Carirubana Municipality. This is part of a qualitative, interpretive research within a phenomenological method, which is a current of thought typical of interpretive research that provides as a basis of knowledge the immediate subjective experience of the facts as they perceive it. The same had as a result, that the percentage of the student population that dropped out in the universities is approximately 80%, according to the data provided by the heads of study control of the organizations in question, in addition to the tangible reasons that directly affect economically, socially and psychologically; which is expressed through family stress. Which generates a certain degree of anxiety and sadness in them. Therefore, school dropout is dependent on the economy and the social, directly affecting the psychological aspect, in addition, there is a psychological and biological dependence, through stress, for not having a balanced diet.
