Pentecostal management. A philosophy-theological vision

Abstract

Philosophy is conceived as the love of wisdom and theology as the treatise on God, both are references for this study whose purpose is to generate the substantive theory that represents the management from the Pentecostal thinking in the organizational context of the Assemblies of God of Venezuela towards the philosophical-theological vision. For this purpose, I assumed the interpretative paradigm (Karr and Kemmis, 1988) with a qualitative approach, symbolic interactionism (Hebert Blúmer, 1962) as a current of thought, the method was grounded theory (Strauss and Corbin, 2002) and emergent design. The key informants were 10 ministers of worship of the Assemblies of God of Venezuela. The techniques were observation and in-depth interview, and for the interpretation of the information I resorted to the characteristic procedures of the method (open, axial and selective coding, triangulation, contrastation and theorization). Among the theoretical threads of management are Drucker (2002 and 1992) as well as Calderón (1989); while in Pentecostalism there was Bruce (1990). The theory generated is called Pentecostal management as a philosophical-theological experience in organizations with spiritually integrated systems, its dimensions are philosophy and theology. I recommend reading this theory to evangelical Christian managers.
